We are each on a journey. Everyday we have a ton of decisions to make - to talk or to remain silent, to act or to do nothing, what to say, what to do. Ultimately, our choices are made based on whether or not we want to follow Jesus.
In the summer of 2008, we hosted a special presentation in Camp Grace on how and why we need to study the Bible. Through the concept of ROAD - Read Observe Apply Depend - we showed the elementary campers the importance of regularly spending time reading and learning from God's Word. The elementary campers had the opportunity to watch a video designed to portray the ROAD Map concept, and heard teaching about how and why we need to study the Bible.
We are selling ROAD Map journals for the campers to use for their own, individual Bible study time. A free DVD of the ROAD Map video is given with each journal. The cost for the journal is $5. Click here for a look inside the journal, and to print blank journal pages on your own.
Each week in Camp Grace, a Bible Reading Plan bookmark is handed out to the campers at the end of class. The bookmark is designed to be used in accordance to the ROAD Map journal; however, a journal is not needed in order to complete the bookmark. Parents, your encouragement and leadership is essential in helping your children study their Bibles. Click here for past bookmarks.
