The first step is to find a Scripture passage for the day and READ it. You can either follow a Bible reading plan or choose a book of the Bible to read through. The key here, especially if this is all new to you, is to not read too much at first. For example, you don't start training to run a marathon by running 20 miles on the very first day. You start small and work your way up. Begin with just a few verses (maybe 3-5 minutes of reading) each day. Write the Scripture reference in the READ section.
