Camp Staff
Experience

The Camp Staff Experience is an 11-week opportunity to serve as a camp counselor at BridgeBuilders, which takes place in the lower part of the state on the edge between Allendale & Hampton County. BridgeBuilders is a summer camp led by two local churches in the community that seeks to invest in the area's youth, with the goal of making followers of Jesus Christ who can have a positive impact on their community. Camp staff interns are responsible to coordinate programming for the summer, as students from Grace Church help provide weekly hands-on support. In addition to working camp, the experience includes pre-camp training in Greenville, SC and a camp staff retreat.

It’s hard to describe what Camp Impact means to me. I think overall Camp Impact has been a place where God continued to make more of Him and less of me. Camp Impact is where I have been at my worst, and where I’ve been at my best. Through all the ways I change, I’ve gotten to see the steadiness of the Lord. To recognize that He doesn’t need you to make this ministry happen is humbling and freeing because you get to see how He moves through you, even at your worst, to accomplish His mission. Working at Camp Impact has helped me see with clarity the provision, strength, grace, and love of our God!
